Welcome to the website for the Greenwich Police Explorer Post! The explorer post provides an opportunity for young men and women to experience first-hand how a police department functions and what it can take to get a career in the field of Law Enforcement. Explorers are taught a range of skills of criminal law, report writing, firearms training, how to handle domestic disturbances, and even conduct accident investigations.

What Is It That We Accomplish?

  • Provide positive teenage activities through community involvement
  • Provide elementary law enforcement training
  • Create the potential for future leaders and helps with leadership skills
  • Provide the proper information needed for someone to know if Law Enforcement is their specialty.

What Does the Post Do?

  • Practice skills at marching/drill so we may be included in local parades and events
  • Attend regional and national conferences where we learn more information about Law Enforcement, and compete with surrounding explorer posts
  • Members (Following Probationary period) may go on ride-alongs with the explorer's advisor ... to get the "real-feel" of Law Enforcement.
